William Simpson Care Home
I specified the Rooflight Company due to their reputation for high quality products and excellent customer service. Because the new building was in the grounds of the existing B-Listed Home, there were many conditions attached to the planning consent including the use of a mansard roof. There was also a requirement for a conservation-style roof window which would fit sympathetically into the roof style.
Natural light gives the best colour rendition, and poor lighting can cause anxiety and lead to accidents. Due the nature of the occupants living in the home it was essential to the design to bring natural light into the assisted bathrooms and the Conservation Rooflight® does this brilliantly – giving 30% more light than a vertical window, while maintaining privacy to the user and also satisfying the strict planning requirements.
