Founded 25 years ago, the Rooflight Company is a successful, employee-owned West Oxfordshire business with approximately 70 employees, designing and manufacturing roof lights and roof windows for the UK construction/specification market.

As a Technical Specification Consultant, you will have excellent presentation skills and a natural grasp of technical details. Ideally, you will also have a proven track record in consultative sales, both over the phone and face to face. Reporting to the Sales Manager, your time will be split between presenting remotely and in person, and time in the office following up enquiries with the sales team. Therefore, the ability to work independently with a flexible approach to working are essential.

Based at our Shipton under Wychwood office you will also have the flexibility to work from home at the discretion of your line manager.

  • To achieve Architect project specification targets
  • Continually maintain and develop presentations on our current portfolio 
  • Deliver inspiring presentations to specifiers both on-site and remotely
  • Develop working relationships and promote the Rooflight Company products to architects
  • Work with the wider sales team on a weekly basis to support sales activity 
  • Maintain and operate CRM reporting and administration systems.
  • Represent the Rooflight Company at exhibitions, conferences and functions as required
  • Management of diary and appointments
  • Regular and extensive travel within the UK
  • Office and field-based with remote working as agreed with the Sales Manager
  • Any other occasional duties that are considered to be within the capability of the job holder
  • Exceptional presentation skills - confident, clear, knowledgeable, and engaging
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Track record of delivering results within a related field
  • Good knowledge of the technical aspects of engineered products
  • Interested in architecture and design, ideally with experience presenting to architects 
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers and trade associations
  • Team player
  • IT literate
  • Full, clean UK driving license
