Founded 25 years ago, the Rooflight Company is a successful, employee-owned West Oxfordshire business with approximately 70 employees, designing and manufacturing rooflights and roof windows for the UK construction / specification market.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator to join this successful, growing, values-led, customer-focused organisation. We are looking for a candidate who can handle the challenges of delivering continual supply of parts in line with the Five Rights – the Right Quality, the Right Quantity, at the Right Price, at the Right Place, at the Right Time.

It is a busy role which requires someone with excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to work to set processes.

  • Place purchase orders within the agreed timescales
  • Expedite all Purchase Orders to ensure deliveries are made on time in full
  • Ensure stock levels are met and are aligned to business requirement
  • Maintain ERP records - reschedule purchase orders, process invoice queries and place purchase requisitions
  • Working within ISO policies
  • Communicate and work as part of a high performing team
  • Develop and maintain new and existing supplier accounts
  • Liaising with Planning, advising of any delay in material supply to minimise the impact on the production schedule
  • Required - GCSE / A Level English and GCSE Maths grades A-C
  • Required – Full UK driving licence
  • Required - IT literate, able to implement solutions that use IT to improve efficiency and be able to support new system introduction
  • Required – Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Desired – Knowledge of ERP systems (we use Epicor)
