Founded 25 years ago, the Rooflight Company is a successful, employee-owned West Oxfordshire business with approximately 70 employees, designing and manufacturing rooflights and roof windows for the UK construction / specification market.

Our award-winning marketing department has a vacancy for an experienced and hands-on Marketing Manager at our site in Shipton under Wychwood to inspire and drive this mission.
It is a role which requires attention to detail and the ability to keep momentum and meet tight deadlines. Reporting into the Sales & Marketing Director, the candidate must have the skills and confidence to work independently, whilst managing the in-house team of Graphic Designer, Digital Content Producer & Marketing Assistant. Experience of managing external agencies and suppliers (media, digital, PR, website) is a given.

Recent new Board members and a new Trustee Board, coupled with a sizeable investment in an integrated ERP System, are all part of an ongoing transition programme for the company. The appointment of a proactive manufacturing FD completes the picture.
Your challenge is for business and departmental turn-around. Our initial need is both diagnostic and hands-on, with the successful implementation and adoption of our new ERP System, the enabler of growth both culturally and commercially, at its heart. The need is top-down & bottom up, creating tactical business dashboards and a universal database for common cost, cash, price and overhead currency to provide coherent forecasting, accounting, analytics, insights, performance monitoring, project management and decision-support, underpinned by a rigorous and robust financial & accounting regime that delivers timely, meaningful and accurate monthly management and annual accounts. The aim is to create a lean, agile, digitally-able finance team that can drive the business forward via controlled growth whilst delivering the transparent disclosure necessary for ethical & effective employee ownership.
You are probably an industrially qualified accountant (likely ACMA), with a strong manufacturing, analytical pedigree, a profile of ERP implementation, standard/ activity-based costing and a rolling forecasting bias utilising top-down & bottom up budgets as well as computerised bills of labour and materials. You may have reached a divisional glass-ceiling in a corporate role or seek to swap values as the standalone FD of an SME. Or be sick of a long commute. Whatever, we have a unique challenge encompassing both values and value.
