Case Study: The Keep

The Keep is a new-build historical centre in Falmer, Brighton. Designed for use by the general public as well as educational groups, the centre was purpose built to be one of the most up-to-date and green archive buildings in the country.

Due to the nature of the content held within the building, the lead architect David Morriss, Atkins, wanted to specify rooflights which would provide maximum security to the building. The Rooflight Company were the only manufacturer that David could find which offered the Secured by Design accreditation.

Ten Secured by Design Rooflights were supplied to this scheme, measuring 1225mm x 1225mm in jet black.

"Kier worked with the Rooflight Company for over two years on this project as they were able to meet the specific brief of high security rooflights required. They offered a rooflight solution which matched the security levels needed for the building which no other manufacturer could supply."
