Here are some recent examples of how the Rooflight Company are working with architects on innovative projects.
Bespoke Trapezoidal Rooflight
A bespoke motorised Trapezoidal Rooflight was used in a project in Covent Garden. The Trapezoidal rooflight was to provide smoke ventilation in a stair well of the building. Designed with a wall abutment the rooflight is able to fit against the wall of the building
The project was to transform a used office building into luxury apartments; Architect Andrew Treverton from Waldo Works specified the rooflight Company to meet the rooflight requirements.
Sustainable Urban Village - Tower Works
Located in the Holbeck Urban Village, the Tower Works site is a mixed use development with emphasis on sustainability. The redevelopment has included the redevelopment of two of the listed building which will see them converted for commercial use.
Architect, Sam Wilson of Bauman Lyons Architects has specified fifteen bespoke Conservation Rooflights® and ten neo™ Steel rooflights to add natural light and ventilation to the scheme.

Sustainable Holiday Homes - Hookerswell
Property owner Paul Snell and architect Charlie Luxton are currently renovating a series of Grade II listed barns in the Cotswolds. The barns are being converted into six luxury sustainable holiday lets, for which architect Charlie Luxton has specified neo™.
A key element of this project’s brief was to maintain attention to detail throughout. The barns feature a high quality standing seam roof from Paul’s own roofing company - Cotswold Metal Roofing Ltd, and the neo™ rooflight baseplate has been modified for this project so that the zinc can be easily flashed around the rooflight frame, to match the design of the overall roof.
“My first choice for this project was neo™ due to its low-profile and frameless appearance both inside and out.”
Architect Charlie Luxton
Integrating Rooflights with PV Panel Systems
The Rooflight Company were recently approached by Simon Merrony Architects to supply neo™ for a project where the brief was to design a roof with a carefully considered PV panel and rooflight configuration to an existing property.
A single bespoke neo™ rooflight has been supplied to exactly match the PV panel size and the result is an aesthetically pleasing solution across the roof.
