Victorian residence, Calne Wiltshire

The client wanted a light and airy room positioned at the south west corner of this Victorian residence in Calne, Wiltshire. Rather than going down the conservatory route, the architects designed a flat roof extension illuminated by a large (1.2 x 2.5m) specially designed lantern. The design, proportions and finials of the lantern are very much in keeping with the Victorian architecture.
