The Maggie's Centre, Glasgow

Architects: Page and Park

The Maggie's Centres are now well-known throughout the UK thanks to the involvement of high-profile architects such as Frank Gehry. The centre in Glasgow was designed by architects Page and Park and is situated in a formerly derelict Listed Victorian gate lodge. Two linked Conservation Rooflights® were specified by architect Karen Nugent, who commented: "Although the Maggie's Centre has a substantial new-build element, we wanted the old and the new parts to sit in harmony with each other. The exterior appearance of the slim-profiled metal rooflights on the new pitched lead roofs is ideal in helping to achieve this".
