Wiston Church

Case Study

Wiston Church, Lanarkshire

Architects: Suzanne Keenan

When this old church in Lanarkshire was due to be converted to habitable accommodation, architect Suzanne Keenan sought rooflights that would fit closely to the existing structure and which the local Planning Authority would readily approve. As the church is a Listed building, planners were unwilling to permit any exterior alteration at all. Eventually they relented sufficiently to allow three Conservation Rooflights® along the elevation not visible from the road. The CR15 rooflights measuring 841 x 1455mm provide much-needed light from above as well as ventilation.
