Case Studies by Planning Issues

Hoffman Building, London N1

Architects: Hunter and Partners

A major consideration in the refurbishment of the 17th century Hoffman Building was ensuring that the rooflights had an extremely low profile and slim sections, since any changes to the building had to comply with strict planning regulations. In addition, there were many restrictions from existing rafters, ridges, trusses and valley gutters. However, with the wide variety of sizes of the Conservation Rooflight® range, the architects were able to specify a product which met all those constraints.
